Dr. Christoph Feichtinger had the problem in his previous professional stations, for example as a designer and aerodynamicist of the KTM MotoGP motorcycle, that he could only insufficiently determine during tests in the open air whether changes to the aerodynamics were actually better than the previous models or not. The core problem was the lack of wind data, which made it almost impossible to compare two turns.
Windpuls GmbH (predecessor company airdrop) has therefore developed a new measuring concept for recording real 3-dimensional wind conditions on moving objects. For the first time, this innovative measuring concept enables the direct measurement of absolute wind conditions as well as relative wind conditions in relation to the object being measured using a small, compact sensor that does not require any special measuring technology expertise to operate.
