European agriculture obtains more than 80% of its protein requirements from imported raw materials such as soy and fishmeal. At the same time, many protein sources available in Europe are poorly utilised or not utilised at all. Insects are the natural way to recycle these nutrients. With Ecofly, we want to realize this protein refinement on a relevant scale for the first time. The insect protein produced is primarily intended to replace fishmeal in fish feed.
