Brief description
Tractive develops hardware, software and smartphone apps for pet owners. The company was founded in October 2012 in Pasching, Austria. The first product, a GPS-based collar for tracking pets, was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2013 and has been available since the beginning of 2013.

Tractive was founded by the three FH Hagenberg graduates Michael Hurnaus, Michael Lettner and Michael Tschernuth.
Michael Hurnaus is the CEO of Tractive. He spent the last 5 years before founding Tractive in the USA, where he worked for Microsoft and Amazon.com. Most recently he was the Technical Project Manager of Amazon's first and second tablet - Kindle Fire.
Michael Lettner (Technical Director Hardware and Services) and Michael Tschernuth (Technical Director Mobile) have several years of experience in the field of mobile computing. Both worked at Emporia Telekom and in research at the FH-Hagenberg.
