Technically speaking, Time Cockpit is a network of software- and hardware-based sensors that are able to record various aspects of a person's activity: Geographical position, usage behavior of electronic devices (PC, laptop, cell phone, etc.), communication (classic telephone, instant messaging, IP telephony, cell phone, etc.) and much more.
The collected sensor data is cleansed, analyzed and processed using heuristic and statistical methods as well as algorithms from the field of machine learning. Modern approaches to information visualization and user interface design enable the user to verify and adapt the activities and contextual information (customer, project, type of activity, etc.) identified by the system from the sensor data and ultimately convert it into time bookings for further processing.
