Abstract:
Our product SMARTBOW® shows where animals are in real time and automatically detects oestrus, illnesses or injuries via conspicuous activity patterns. On PCs, tablets and smartphones, farmers have the necessary overview of their livestock at all times and can quickly find individual animals, which is especially important in large herds with several hundred / thousands of animals.
Each animal receives an ear tag, equipped with state-of-the-art sensor technology. Receivers in the barn and outdoors record the current positions and movements of the animals around the clock. This data is analysed on a local server and clearly displayed in the herd management software or anomalies are reported via SMS alarm. SMARTBOW® was launched at the beginning of 2014 and has since been sold to around 30,000 animals around the globe. From USA [&] Canada to Europe [&] Russia to Down Under...
Sales of SMARTBOW® started at the beginning of 2014 and around 10,000 animals in 9 countries on 3 continents have now been equipped with the system. The company has a strong global focus and already has product approvals for Europe and North America. Other important markets in the near future are South America and Russia, where negotiations are already underway with the first reference customers and sales partners.
The development is carried out in cooperation with national and international research partners.
