sendance is a spin-off of the LIT Soft Materials Lab at the JKU Linz. We develop and sell electronics and sensors on permeable, stretchable and structurally adapted substrates. Permeability and structural adaptation enable the integration of sensors into areas where this was previously not possible in a meaningful way.
For the first time, sendance is the first application to integrate pressure sensors into specially adapted orthopaedic remedies. In this way, the fit can be permanently monitored and the adjustment effort for orthopaedic technicians can be significantly reduced. In addition, the development of abrasions and pressure ulcers can be prevented and thus the quality of life of the patients can be increased.
Future developments will also enable the use of sendance's sensors in other fields of medical technology (pressure ulcer prophylaxis, wound dressings).
