The Pixelrunner is the world's first landscape printer. It turns the landscape into an advertising medium by printing logos and images directly onto the ground.
Until now, large-scale branding at events such as motorsports or American football was applied manually by entire teams using stencils, which took days of work. Pixelrunner automates this process with its self-propelled, electrically driven printing robot: smart technology instead of immense manpower.
Ronald Schaumberger had the idea for the Pixlerunner and, together with Christian Saminger, successfully tested it in several prototype stages. Rainer Kargel completed the trio, and Pixelrunner GmbH was founded in August 2016.
The prototypes have now been developed into a fully functional robot, which is also completely electrically powered. The next step is to make it ready for series production. At this stage, the Pixelrunner will be completely autonomous. The core of the Pixelrunner is and remains the in-house development of the spraying technology, for which a patent application has now been filed.

The Pixelrunner prints any motif in any desired size on any surface - whether grass, snow or asphalt. Flexible in durability, environmentally friendly with the colors as well as brilliant and fast in execution. With a printing capacity of up to 50 m2 per minute, the Pixelrunner prints on almost any outdoor area, including slopes or gradients.
In addition to its use in marketing (landscape branding), there are no limits to the technology: Roadway and parking lot lettering, 1:1 plans for planned construction projects, game plans and the like are just some of the other possibilities.
