Magic Keys is a new kind of mixed reality app for learning the piano. In addition to the real environment, the user sees a superimposed virtual layer through special glasses, on which the notes to be played are displayed – directly on the piano keyboard and in real time. The specially developed 3D notation system has many advantages compared to the traditional sheet music and allows users to play simple melodies after just a few minutes.
Magic Keys is currently available as a beta version for the virtual reality glasses "Meta Quest". The app contains a catalog of around 20 piano pieces and also offers users the opportunity to upload their own favorite songs. For the full release, an additional focus on learning methods is planned, including structured teaching content, technical exercises and features designed to simplify use in music schools.
