IT/Software Development 2013

Abstract:
The "Flying Screen" will be the world's first fully digital flying outdoor advertising medium and will therefore revolutionize the entire "Aerial Advertising" industry. The invention consists of an extremely light 4 x 8 meter LED screen that is mounted firmly connected under the fuselage of a helicopter and can play all kinds of texts, images, logos and messages in full color as well as 'full-motion' on the basis of specially developed software. One of the main engineering achievements was to design the glider to be air-permeable and thus further ensure the aerodynamic airworthiness of the helicopter.
The possible applications seem to be endless, as the 'message' flies to the audience with the flying screen and is then transmitted with such intensity that no viewer can escape active perception. It is precisely this active recording of images and messages that will set the flying screen apart from most other advertising media and make it a unique selling point. The brightness of the tens of thousands of LEDs makes it possible to use it both day and night, when every impression in the sky can be made to fly. The Flying Screen actually gives you wings...

Typical applications for aerial advertising are any gathering of people in cities or outside at open-air events, sporting events, concerts, or just during traffic jams or on a sunny weekend along a busy beach. In addition to the obvious suitability of the Flying Screen for advertising and promotional purposes, we are also developing possible applications within the framework of the active disaster and crisis management of authorities and cities, as the Flying Screen can still transmit vital messages to large parts of the population even if the entire infrastructure fails.
