Abstract
People get into emergency situations where they don't have the time or the opportunity to call for help on their mobile phones. bembu is an accessory suitable for everyday use, which is easily accessible on the body and offers the possibility to make an emergency call with position data at the touch of a button. By distributing the functions between the device and a smartphone app, the device itself becomes small and energy-efficient. Furthermore, the system supports individually configurable everyday functions and thus gets a contemporary image.
