Jörg, tell us your startup story?
From scratch: I actually pitched the idea of mobile carbon fiber recovery from industrial waste to our first customer from the aviation industry with a drawing on an iPad, whereupon he said, "That's innovative, I want that!"
I then sat down, wrote a patent, raised money and made it happen. Today, after almost 4 years, we have international customers who buy our recycled carbon fiber material.
What impact does your product have in terms of sustainability and for whom?
On the one hand, our customers get their post-industrial waste recycled, and on the other hand, our material customers get sustainable carbon fiber materials with a 99% reduced CO2 footprint compared to virgin material. In addition, it is particularly important to us to be the most cost-effective supplier on the market.
Why is sustainability so important to you?
When I was at school, I witnessed the redevelopment of a landfill site and I was stunned by everything that was dug up. Who is capable of burying garbage - I still think to myself today.
It is important to take things into your own hands that you can change, if everyone does this we will create a cool world.
What does the everyday life of a startup founder look like?
It consists of a sometimes unbelievable number of topics and always trying to complete the most important one first.
What tips can you give the start-up talents of tomorrow?
If you can derive fulfillment from creating, you should definitely start a business. Your team is important, especially those people who can hold out for a long time. You are always responsible for what happens.
