Why AirMate?
Alarming statistics show that drowning is the most common cause of death in childhood accidents (Child Accident Research Center). Private waters are particularly associated with this. In just 5 minutes a child can drown silently. Melissa Leibetseder and Christopher Brummayer wanted to tackle this problem and founded AirMate.
What makes AirMate unique?
The T-shirt is not only comfortable for the little ones, but can also be a life-saving companion. If parents are accidentally distracted, AirMate enables them to rescue their child by floating to the surface. This reduces the stress level for the whole family at the water's edge.
The fabric has a sun protection factor of 50+, which not only protects the child from drowning, but also provides an additional layer of protection from the sun's harmful rays.
