On November 10, the winners of the Austrian Interior Design Awards 2023 were honored.
217 projects were entered into the race for the Austrian Interior Design Award 2023 - 123 of them in the product design category and 94 in the interior design category. The award ceremony took place on November 10 as part of "Die Presse"-SCHAU in Vienna's Marx Halle. In its fourth edition, the award was once again initiated by the Building Innovation Cluster of the Upper Austrian location agency Business Upper Austria.
"Courage to metamorphose" was the motto of the Austrian Interior Design Awards 2023, which honors a generation of designers who are redefining our relationship to the environment, space, product and consumption. Many of them claim that good design is more than just a beautiful form. They want to make a positive contribution to society and sustainability. The designs are innovative and versatile. They show the will to create and the courage to metamorphose traditional forms," says Erich Gaffal, Manager of the Building Innovation Cluster.
Recognition for innovation and quality
The award has established itself as an integral part of the Austrian design landscape. Launched by the Building Innovation Cluster of the Upper Austrian location agency Business Upper Austria, it is aimed at players involved in the design, production or implementation of interior design projects and furnishing products in Austria. It offers a platform for the presentation and recognition of innovative and high-quality solutions that strengthen Austria's design profile.
The 217 projects and products submitted were evaluated by an independent expert jury consisting of nine experts from the fields of interior, design and interior architecture as well as scene connoisseurs.
