The first Business2Excellence Expert Day entitled "Behind the VC: A Founder's Insight" took place at the OÖ Nachrichten Forum on January 16. This new series of events is aimed at our young entrepreneurs from our Business2Excellence program.
Six times a year , young entrepreneurs from Upper Austria meet to discuss various focus topics such as financing, sales & marketing, human resources and funding. An external expert from the respective focus area is also on board.
Dominik Angerer, co-founder of the successful start-up Storyblok, a cross-platform content management system for development and marketing departments, kicked off the event as an expert on the topic of "working with VCs". The Linz-based start-up raised a total of 58 million US dollars in investment and operates with 230 employees in 47 countries.
In his keynote speech, Dominik provided insights into the world of VCs from the perspective of a founder: origins of funding, fundraising processes and key performance indicators (KPIs) of VCs.
With over 30 participants, the first event was a complete success and offered plenty of room for exchange.
The next event on the topic of "Sales" with Gerald Zankl, Co-Founder of Kickscale and former Global Inside Sale Director of Bitmovin, is already being planned and will take place on April 11 in Linz. As this is a series of events for alumni and young entrepreneurs from the Business2Excellence program, participation is by invitation only.
