Inras (Industrial Radar Systems) is a spin-off company of the Johannes Kepler University Linz which was found in 2012. The core competence of Inras is the development and real time implementation of modern signal processing and sensor fusion algorithms in FPGAs and ARM boards in conjunction with the design of analog and especially high frequency electronics (up to 77 GHz). By covering these technical aspects within one company Inras can build up high precision radar sensor systems especially designed for harsh industrial environments. These sensors are applied to applications where it is essential to determine the position and pose of one or several moving objects.
The designed radar sensors are capable to measure distances and angles to distinct reflectors without any moving or rotating parts. In addition the radar systems are able to determine the radial velocities to the reflectors. These sensors are able to electronically steer the antenna beam simultaneously to all the reflectors positioned in the illuminated scene which enables high precision 2D/3D position measurements.
