The new initiative within Meet in Italy for Life Sciences 2021 - MIT4LS2021 event dedicated to life sciences innovative start-ups and emerging companies (already established companies) working in the following areas:

• Medical devices
• IT applications for health
• Pharmaceutical
• Nutraceutical
• Medicine, human health & wellbeing
• Related value chain activities

promoted by several investment funds and life sciences organisations.

MIT4LS2021 is the leading international networking opportunity event in the life sciences sector in Italy. The 2021, seventh edition, will be held in Genova in May 2021.

Applications for start-up Bootcamp will be evaluted by the Selection Committee, composed by life sciences experts and investors. The selected start-ups will benefit a tailored entrepreneurial journey, diving into coaching sessions with life sciences experts and mentors, who will help them in refining their business approach and the communication of their innovation value.

The journey ends with a pitch (virtual or in hybrid mode if conditions will allow the latter) to potential corporate partners and international investors on the 30th of October 2020.

At the end of the event, an expert jury will assign the title of MIT4LS2020 most innovative start-up award and the Special Award, offered by Zcube-OpenZone, for the start-up with the best solution in the areas of interest of ZCube (digital health, diagnostics and patient management in the phases of prevention, prediction and post-acute management for neurodegenerative and respiratory diseases).

The Special Award consists in providing the winning start-up with an office space in a shared area, at the OpenZone S.p.A. initiative, and a mentoring and support program consisting of 12 days in the 12 months following the conclusion of the initiative, as well as the possibility of free participation in the program of meetings organized at OpenZone (Open Talks and meetings with the Zoners). The value of the prize is 10,000 euros.
