Two and a half years ago, we started developing a device as a hobby to significantly reduce the search time in the event of an avalanche burial. The idea was: "It would be much easier if the buried person could show us where they are..."
Specifically, our probe steers itself from the buried person to the surface of the avalanche. After triggering, the microcontroller recognizes the standstill under the avalanche and the probe steers itself upwards. The entire avalanche transceiver search, including probing, is no longer necessary, which saves an enormous amount of time.
We are aiming for a cooperation with an avalanche backpack manufacturer and for this purpose we are founding REQS G.m.b.H
