Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich donates 500 notebooks to social institutions in Upper Austria

Initiative enables access to education and communication

Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich (RLB OÖ) is setting a strong example of social responsibility and sustainability: around 500 used but fully functional notebooks have been handed over to social institutions throughout the province and thus given a meaningful new purpose. The former work equipment of RLB Oberösterreich employees is being given a second life, giving children, young people and families new prospects. The recipients include Caritas, the Upper Austrian Family Association, the Diesterweg School (VS 20) in Linz and the Social Initiative Linz, which supports young people and families in difficult circumstances. The devices were handed over between March and May. "With this initiative, we want to make it easier for young people to access education, information and communication. It is important to us that all children and young people - regardless of their social or financial situation - have the same opportunities," explains Sigrid Burkowski, CEO of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich.

Comprehensive social commitment

The laptop donation is part of the wide-ranging social commitment of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich and its employees. Since 2024, they have been able to use up to one working day per year to work on social projects as part of the #wirmachtssozial initiative - whether at charity events, in sports for the disabled or in care and educational institutions.
