On May 23 and 24, 2025, Tabakfabrik Linz will be transformed into an event space for anyone looking for new perspectives: The Festival of Curiosity brings together fresh ideas, creative impulses and visionary people.
Organized by the Linz Tourist Board and the Ministry of Curiosity and Future Studies, the festival sends out a strong signal for innovation, sustainability and the extraordinary creativity of the region.
The aim of the festival is to rethink Linz as a bold, surprising and extraordinary destination and to show how diverse and future-oriented the city already is today. The festival brings together locals, visitors and partners from business, science, media and culture - and allows everyone to experience ÖKOSYSTEM:DESTINATION:LINZ.
The two-day program is colorful and inspiring: interactive workshops, exciting keynotes, culinary discoveries, a cultural supporting program and "tasting sessions" where guests can actively immerse themselves. Universities, start-ups and companies playfully present their ideas and show how the future is being made in Linz. The Open Tabakfabrik Day will also take place on the site on May 23.
The Festival of Curiosity makes visible what Linz stands for: a sustainable, smart and curious city with an appetite for new things. A stage for ideas, a meeting place for visionaries and a statement for a future worth living.

Come along and become part of a creative future lab! In our open Lego Serious Play session, you can build without registering - up to 10 people at a time. Playfully create prototypes for sustainable products, services and ideas that can change the future. Your visions become visible on our Future Wall: we photograph or print out your creations and mount them on a large poster. The result is an inspiring collection of ideas for the future - what would you like to see in a sustainable world?
