As part of our Welcome Brunch, we experienced an exciting introduction to the world of tourism innovation. Together with our partners from Business Upper Austria - OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH and Oberösterreich Tourismus GmbH, we welcomed the latest start-ups to our tourism incubator.
Here's a detailed look at the groundbreaking concepts that got us excited:
- RUFF Putt-Putt - A new era of minigolf
Under the management of Markus Gaggl, RUFF Putt-Putt is striving to build Europe's largest and most modern minigolf entertainment facility in Upper Austria. Two 18-hole courses with increasing levels of difficulty are being built on an area of 2,500 square meters. Traditional obstacles such as windmills and dinosaurs are giving way to ingenious challenges designed to make the game more challenging and entertaining.
- Mealmate - Revolutionizing gastronomy
The duo Alexander Pabinger and Johannes Finkenstädt created Mealmate in response to staff shortages and inefficient processes in the catering industry. Their system allows guests to order and pay directly at the table, which improves the experience, reduces waiting times and increases sales.
- SurfJobs - Career guidance meets social mediaThe team consisting of Robert Hartl, Emin Vojnikovic, Elias Ramoser and Florian Girlinger has developed SurfJobs, an innovative platform that uses social media dynamics to make it easier for young people to choose a career. Users can use appealing short videos to gain an insight into various professions and find suitable job offers.
- Schetti's adventure brewery -Craft and tradition revived
With their Schetti's Brau- und Feinkostmanufaktur, Katrin and Matthias Schett offer a creative answer to the challenges faced by small and medium-sized breweries. Their Gypsy Brewing initiative enables hobby and microbrewers to create their own recipes and share them with others on an automated platform.
