Brain gain beats brain drain

The International Incubator Hagenberg is an initiative of the Hagenberg Software Park (SWPH), implemented in cooperation with tech2b and the regional government of Upper Austria to specifically support the influx of high-tech business founders from abroad, to counteract the movement of business abroad and thus to generate jobs and value creation.

The primary addressees are local and foreign business founders from the sectors of development and application of IT technologies planning to have their registered offices in Upper Austria and to settle down in the Hagenberg Software Park on a long-term basis.

Among other things, they benefit from a large number of available synergies resulting from the existing research and education facilities on site: with the international PhD programs or the new “Hagenberg International Masters Program for Informatics” as well as resident firms.

In a first step, the settlement of ten start-up businesses within the next five years is planned. The projects are primarily acquired within the European economic area, but also in countries with comparatively less developed founders support.
