Academic spin-offs, 9x in Austria

The Academia Business spin-off program (AplusB) is an initiative by the Federal Ministry of Traffic, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) that is implemented by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency Ltd. (FFG) as regards consultancy, selection processes, establishment and monitoring.

In the Aplus centres of the relevant federal province, scientists get qualified advice on their ways from the first idea to the actual foundation of a business. They get professional, accompanying consultancy that is provided to support business foundations from the academic sector, and to better anchor the idea of entrepreneurism in academic thinking and acting.
