The technology2business Process
With the help of the technology2business process young foundation plans can be accompanied on their way to autonomy. The process is separated into three phases which are supported by a large training program.
The preparatory pre-incubation phase, the incubation phase, the following business2excellence phase after the drop out of the AplusB program as well as the business training for prospective entrepreneurs (Biztrain) establish a basis for a successful implementation of ideas and foundation of enterprises.
To qualify for the accedence in the incubator, the following qualifications are needed (acceptance criteria):
- Research-based idea for a product or service
- High technical degree of innovation
- Growth potential above average
- Start-up plan
- Company foundations take place in Upper Austria
- Founders keep substantial shares of the new founded enterprises
- At least one of the founders has to be academic
- No geographic or academic origin restriction but close relation to the Upper Austrian research and development
- Property rights and rights of use are hold by the foundation team

Sponsorship example for a foundation scenario
Overall support Euro 70.000,-
Interest-free loan for personnel costs (Euro 1.500,-- per person and month) Euro 36.000,-
Personnel services and non-cash benefits Euro 12.000,-
R&D material, grants of patents, consulting services, other material expenses Euro 22.000,-
Refund
100% of the loan for personnel costs (or at least 40% of the overall support)
within 5 years, interest-free Euro 36.000,-
5% reimbursement of costs of the rest of the sponsorship Euro 1.700,-
